My Guardian Angel by teutelquessir My Guardian Angel by teutelquessir
I was working on this project last week when the fire in my apartment building happened. I can't explain why I had absolutely NO damage, but I'd like to think that this fellow was watching over me.

16 GA. steel tie wire, 26 GA. brass wire, silk, stiffening spray, startch, wired ribbon - approx. size: 30 inches tall by 30 inches wide

I love angels (as you'll see if you browse through my gallery). I kept doodling different ideas for my line project for 3-D Design class, but nothing satisfied me. During Statistics class one day, the idea hit me and I scribbled it down on a piece of paper. The rest is history! The hardest part of the whole thing was the trumpet (wrapping it with all that brass wire) and making the wings (that's a TON of fabric stiffener and starch on there).

That is VERY nice! I like all the detail, I just wish the photos were a bit more closeup of certain specific parts, like the face etc... This is one fine piece of art! :D

I can take more pictures :) There's not much of a face, though.

Your apartment looks like the perfect studio space. And you never know - it's entirely possible to be protected by certain things. Wire is fun to work with.
