Description
In the tradition of Baroque painters and Dutch Masters, I arranged a somewhat dark collection of objects with the peeled and sliced oranges serving as a memento mori in the composition. This setting was for my Acrylic Painting students using the sfumato technique. I recycled the picture for my Intermediate Colored Pencil students for the reverse grisaille technique class.

Mmm.... I like pieces that are "darkly" based.... they're dark in appearance.... I like how it turned out, the curtain is especially lovely... And the orange slices and peel too! 
The bottle holds my attention because it is smooth. Did you do this on purpose? I know you said this is colored pencil.... but that glass looks like a paint of some sort... which I find visually interesting in this piece. Overall... I'd say I really like it. I personally would like it to be of "darker" nature though. It's just too bright feeling to me. That's strickly my thought though, it is a wonderful piece as it is!
